W.S. lining drop weight impact test
As described in the drop weight impact test was used to study the lining, brittle fracture trend of iron and steel materials, used to evaluate the anti-crack behavior, according to the standard ASTM E208 and SEP 1325.
In the process of lining, test, drop hammer impact to the top of the orthogonal bending specimen, and are fixed on both ends of the specimen, within a given total bending deformation, cause the sample by the tensile side of brittle fracture.Brittle fracture began with a gap in the welding joints, the crack point.
Lining during the test, the need to make sure that caused by artificial crack point of brittle crack is on either side of the extension to the sample or suppressed.If on either side of the crack extension to the sample, the sample is considered to have damaged.
